A downloadable game

Royal Economy

Intro:

This game is similar to Monopoly in its use of property and money handling, however, it also combines the use of cards and each number within a deck, including Jokers. The goal of the game is to own the most sets of four by rolling a die that determines which card from the top of a shuffled deck they can turn over. If it is a number/face card that person wishes to buy, they give money to the game’s banker and keep the card for the remainder of the game unless they wish to trade cards with another player. Players can make deals with each other, and certain numbers/faces are more valuable than others, the person with the most value at the end of the game wins.

Rules:

  1. Anywhere from three to six players can play this game
  2. The game requires Monopoly money, a six-sided standard die, and one deck of cards, including the jokers.
  3. Play begins by shuffling the deck of cards and placing the entire stack in the middle of the table.
  4. Each player begins with $2,000
  5. Players then roll the die to see what order they will play in.
  6. The first player rolls the die again and whatever number the die lands on is the number card, from top to bottom, of the stack of cards the player must pull. For example, if you roll a four, you only take the fourth card from the top of the deck.
  7. After drawing the card, the player can decide whether or not they wish to buy the card, or place it randomly back into the deck.
  8. A player's turn ends when they either discard the card, or purchase it.
  9. After each player has taken a turn, everyone receives $250.
  10. Players are trying to collect each card from each number within the deck (e.g. all four kings/queens/ones/etc.)
  11. If a player pulls one of the joker cards, they have the opportunity to roll the die twice, acquiring up to two new cards in their arsenal. After drawing the joker, it is randomly placed back into the deck.
  12. Once all the cards have been purchased, or a player reaches a value of $6,800 (all face cards) or more, the game is finished.
  13. Card Values: Ace=$500, King=$450, Queen=$400, Jack=$350, 10=$300, 9=$250, 8=$200, 7=$175, 6=$150, 5=$125, 4=$100, 3=$75, 2=$50
