Sustain and Survive

Intro: 

Sustain and Survive is all about keeping track of resources, and only using those that are absolutely necessary for survival, all while maintaining a balance with the ecosystem around you. The game begins with a board that looks like an island. The board has 5 animal types on it: Duck, Wolf, Squirrel, Owl, and Deer. The island begins with a certain number of each animal and your job is to hunt. Be careful though! Animals only multiply at a certain rate and if you hunt too quickly, the animals will not repopulate. If you stop hunting completely however, you will not be strong enough to fight off attackers seeking to pillage your island, taking it for themselves.

Rules:

1. Requires 2-8 Players
2. Requires 1 island-shaped game board 
3. Requires 1 standard die
4. Requires animal-shaped figurines
5. Board begins with 5 more squirrels than the number of players, duck 4, owl 3, wolf 2, and deer 1.
6. Each animal has a point value showing how long a player can survive without hunting again. Squirrel=2 turns, duck 3, owl 4, wolf 5, deer 6.
7. Play begins after rolling the dice to see who goes first
8. Each turn begins with a roll of the dice, the resulting number determining what type of animal the player can hunt. (Squirrel=1, Duck=2, Owl=3, Wolf=4, Deer=5)
9. If a 6 is rolled, this signifies an attack from colonizers, resulting in 1 of each animal being taken off the board, no player receives them. 
10. Play ends when either every player but 1 has starved, every player has found balance for more than 5 turns in a row, or when there are no animals left to hunt. 
11. The goal is to create sustainability in the ecosystem, all while defending your island from outsiders that wish to exploit its recourses. Good Luck!
